VedbÆk, Denmark, June 22, 2009 – The 2009 Under Armour College Golf Combines has announced that TrackMan™ will be the exclusive provider of swing and ball flight data at 6 nationwide events this year.
“We are proud to use the industry standard to provide interesting and useful information about our players in the events this year,” said Under Armor College Golf Combines’ Executive Tournament Director Brent Zokan. “Given TrackMan’s reputation in the industry for providing accurate and meaningful information on both the ball and the club, we would not want to use anything but the best.”
The purpose of the 2009 Under Armour College Golf Combines is to bring together talented recruits from every class with D1, D2, D3, NAIA and Junior College coaches. The combines provide all recruits the opportunity to choose a region of the country and then contact the coaches at the schools they are interested in to invite them to come watch them play. Coaches at each combine receive a Coach’s Book with detailed information.
TrackMan technology is used by leading university golf programs across North America to enhance the player development process. Coaches can use the club delivery and ball flight information to benchmark players and identify areas of improvements. Then, players can use TrackMan in practice sessions to get-real time feedback. Progress can be monitored over time using the data reporting tools available from TrackMan.
Zokan added: “TrackMan will not only enhance the events themselves, but will also provide information that can be used by coaches and players to identify strengths and weaknesses in a player’s swing and resulting ball flight. The relationship with TrackMan will provide value to all the participants, coaches, and spectators involved. We are very excited.”
