Rowlett, TX – Deco-Leco, LLC, announced recently that the R&A has ruled that its POP-UP Protector does conform to the Rules of Golf and the United States Golf Association states that it’s “Permitted under the Rules of Golf”.
This makes POP-UP Protector the ONLY golf club protector on the market that is permitted by these two governing bodies to be used in tournament play. Until now, the only other attachment that had been allowed was lead tape.
“We felt it was important to submit the POP-UP Protector to the USGA and R&A organizations,” said Leroy Collyear, President & CEO of Deco Leco, LLC. “A lot of golfers out there that want to use our product and some of them play in USGA sanctioned amateur or professional tournaments. We didn’t want there to be any cause for concern. So this was the logical way to go, it’s confirmed, the POP-UP Protector is legal for tournament play!”
