Mesa, AZ – Dixon Golf, manufacturers of the High-Performance Eco-Friendly Earth golf ball partnered up with TowCaddy to sponsor the Long Ride to the Golf Wasatch Long Day Challenge Golf Tournament recently. This is Utah’s premier four-person scramble tournament in which TowCaddy participants rode from course to course through the scenic Heber Valley on bicycle. These two companies teamed up to make it a “Green” tournament by leaving no eco footprint…however, their pedal print stretched out over 85 miles on June 20th, the longest day of the year.
The Golf Wasatch Long Day Challenge included play at three different courses (18 at The Mountain Course at Wasatch, 18 at The Gold Course at Soldier Hollow, and 9 holes at Homestead for the championship round). With these courses only minutes apart from each other, TowCaddy’s LDC Tournament foursome rode their bicycles, with their golf clubs in Tow behind them, on their TowCaddy’s, golfing along the way, from Salt Lake City to Midway, Utah to participate in this tournament along with 288 other golfers.
There are a lot of golf balls on the market, but as a company, TowCaddy uses only Dixon Earth balls,” said Howard Fullmer, CEO/Founder of Tow Caddy. “Dixon’s commitment to the environment aligns with our core belief that we should all be dedicated stewards of the world on which we live. We want greener courses, but even more, we envision a greener planet. We choose Dixon because they share that vision.”
Dixon Golf has set the standard for ecological and sociological concern and will continue to be the golf company that leads the industry in its fight to save the earth.
Dixon Earth – Good For The Environment Better For Your Game!
Unlike other Golf Ball Brands who use harsh heavy-metal pollutants like tungsten, cobalt and lead, and contain non-renewable synthetic materials and compounds; the Dixon Earth golf ball is “green” to the core. Even the packaging is made from 100% recycled material. From core to cover, from packaging to production, Dixon Earth is setting a new standard in environmental consciousness.
Amazingly; Dixon didn’t have to sacrifice playability to become environmentally friendly. Just the opposite, the Dixon High-Performance Earth golf ball outperformed the Nike One Platinum, Callaway Tour ix and Titleist Pro V1, in independent testing by PGA TOUR Partners Club, and received an incredible 92% Approval Rating!
Dixon’s High-Performance Earth golf ball is the “Official Ball” of the 2009 Egolf Professional Tour.
