Tinley Park, IL — The winner of the 2021 LPGA Marathon Classic trusted her Tour Department Bettinardi DASS (Double Aged Stainless Steel) Studio Stock 3 center shafted putter with Roll Control Face Milling, and putted her way to a -19 final score and her fourth career LPGA Tour victory. This marks the first LPGA Tour victory with Robert Bettinardi’s all-new Roll Control Face Technology and the winners first victory since 2019.
The winner, and top-ranked Japanese player in the world, put forth a fantastic putting performance all week, tallying 24 birdies over just three rounds, including a career best 61 (-10) in the opening round of the tournament.
After receiving her Studio Stock 3 at the beginning of the tournament, the winner trusted the design, feel, and craftsmanship, putting the putter in play and finding immediate success.
“The champion of the LPGA Marathon Classic put on a phenomenal display of putting this week in a strong field of some of the LPGA’s best players,” said Vice President of Bettinardi Golf, Sam Bettinardi. “We recently began working with the winner just a few weeks ago and to see her win in her first week with our putter in the bag was incredible. We look forward to watching her fantastic putting continue in the upcoming weeks, as she heads to the Olympics in her home country to represent Team Japan.”
With the victory, the winner now ranks #9 in the latest Rolex Women’s World Golf Ranking and earns the second LPGA Tour victory for Bettinardi Golf in 2021.
Bettinardi Staffers have earned four top-10 finishes in July, with the latest victory bringing Bettinardi’s total to 89 worldwide tour wins since 1999.
