Alexandria, VA – The Club Foundation is pleased to announce the 2021 recipients of the Willmoore H. Kendall Scholarship. In 2001, the Willmoore H. Kendall Scholarship Fund was established in memory of CMAA Past President Willmoore (Bill) Kendall. This scholarship provides tuition support to assistant club management professionals interested in pursuing the Certified Club Manager (CCM) designation.
The 2021 recipients are:
- Sara Parker, Mid-Pacific Country Club, Kailua, HI
- Blake Parrish, Ansley Golf Club, Atlanta, GA
- Qian Yang, Beach Point Club, Mamaroneck, NY
- Lauren Randall, The Acorn Club, Philadelphia, PA
- Timothy Szemplinski, Wee Burn Country Club, Darien, CT
The scholarship provides financial support for the recipient to attend the requisite Business Management Institutes (BMI) to obtain their CCM, up to $8,000..
“The CCM designation is the internationally recognized and widely-respected mark of professionalism in club management,” said CMAA President and CEO Jeff Morgan, FASAE, CAE. “Recipients of this valuable and competitive scholarship receive financial support to advance their professional career goals by attending CMAA’s Business Management Institutes (BMI) as well as the Certification Review Course – all required to achieve the CCM designation.”
