University of Michigan women’s coach Kathy Teichert announces her resignation after 16 years at the school. … The World Golf Hall of Fame board of directors selects late President Dwight D. Eisenhower for induction into the World Golf Hall of Fame on Nov. 2. Eisenhower, selected in the Lifetime Achievement Category, will become the first President inducted into the Hall of Fame, posthumously joining Christy O’Connor, José Maria OlazÁbal and Lanny Wadkins as part of the Class of 2009. … The second Eagle Cup, played at the Quail Lodge Golf Club in Carmel, Calif., on June 4 raised more than $60,000 for six local charities. … Pinnacle Country Club in Rogers, Ark., completes a $6.2 million renovation of its championship course, which will host the LPGA’s Northwest Arkansas Championship, Sept. 11-13, 2009. The renovation was overseen by Heckenkemper Golf Course Design. … Author and columnist John Feinstein launches his personal blog, “Feinstein On The Brink,” at www.feinsteinonthebrink.com. Feinstein will post each weekday, offering his unfiltered views and commentary on breaking news, hot topics, as well as personal stories inside the world of sports. … Performance Golf Marketing Alliance names Jeff Jones as vice president of sales. …
