The 2022 ALD USA National Championship was held Sunday September 18th through Wednesday the 21st at Barefoot Resort and Golf in Myrtle Beach, SC. Players in 25 divisions qualified for the upcoming Ultimate Long Drive™ World Championship.

Myrtle Beach, SC – The 2022 Amateur Long Drive (USA) National Championship crowned 25 National Champions in the series’ sixth year of operation.

Over 200 national league events and qualifiers led to the best of the best coming to Barefoot Resort and Golf in Myrtle Beach, SC, September 18th – 26th to compete on one of the toughest grids in the sport. Players’ ages ranged from 7 & Under to 75+ and included players with disabilities. There was a military competition for current and past military that led to a head-to-head Marine against Air Force Battle.

“Barefoot Resort & Golf is without a doubt the toughest grid we visit,” said Jeff Gilder, President and CEO, Ultimate Long Drive Inc. “We’re at sea level, high humidity, moist ground conditions, and almost always a headwind. We see records being broken each year as our hitters become more talented, and this year was no exception. Anna Drahos, a first-year competitor, pounded the longest drive ever recorded (on this grid) at 297 yards. Previous records of 343 and 345 were taken down by Roy Studley with a drive of 350.8 yards. These numbers may seem low to some, but this grid will hurt your feelings.”

From the National Championship, advancing players will be headed to Premier Sports Campus in Bradenton, Florida for the 2022 Ultimate Long Drive™ (ULD) World Championship October 27- 30th.  The 2022 ULD World Championship will include amateur and professional players from around the world who have earned their spot through competition in their counties.
