Hill and Casey Selected as 2022 Winners in LPGA Contest to find that Special MOM who Stands Out Among the Best-of-the-Best in Serving as a Mentor and Role Model; Winners Earn All-Expense-Paid Trip to the 2022 Cognizant Founders Cup Taking Place May 11th-15th at Upper Montclair Country Club, in Clifton, NJ
Clifton, NJ, – In advance of Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 9th, the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA), along with its flagship event the Cognizant Founders Cup, have announced that Kelly Hill of Sewell, NJ, and her mother, Pamela Casey, are the winners of the 2022 Great MOM Giveaway Contest, a promotion designed to find that special mother or mentor who stands out among the best-of-the-best in serving as a role model.
The contest, which ran from March 15th – April 15th, is part of the LPGA’s ongoing mission of engaging, empowering, and supporting girls and women through the sport of golf. In its quest to find that one special “mother or mentor,” the LPGA invited anyone interested in nominating a friend or family member to complete and submit a 250-word essay, along with photos, on what makes their candidate stand out among the rest.
“We were impressed and moved by so many of our submissions highlighting their mothers and mentors who have made an impact in their life” said Tracy Hupko, Sales & Marketing Manager, Cognizant Founders Cup. “In the end, we felt that Kelly Hill and her mother, Pamela Casey, stood out for their special relationship. Kelly described multiple moments in her life where her mother’s resiliency to life’s obstacles did not go unnoticed and were backed by her unwavering support and guidance.”
Hupko adds, “Kelly and Pamela have a special relationship and they embody everything we do at the LPGA in supporting and empowering girls and women. There is nothing more important than a MOM, especially one who serves as a role model and helps inspire not only family members, but friends and colleagues in business too.”
As the 2022 winners, Hill and Casey will receive transportation, hotel accommodations, and hospitality tickets for May 13th & 14th during the competition rounds of the 2022 Cognizant Founders Cup at historic Upper Montclair Country Club, in Clifton, NJ. In addition, all finalists will receive a gift from the LPGA for being among the 13 best nominations received during the contest.
The 2022 Cognizant Founders Cup returns to Northern New Jersey for a second straight year and will be contested on one of the state’s premier golf courses, while celebrating the LPGA’s heritage in an event that showcases the best professional golfers in the world.
