(Chicago, IL – FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE) Macali Communications, a marketing and PR company specializing in the golf business and social media, has launched www.patobriengolf.com, a successful website and blog for prominent golf instructor Pat O’Brien.
To date, the blog has 14,543 hits in four months or about 80 hits per day and been reported on by leading social and mainstream media.
O’Brien is a protégé of the late Payne Stewart and putting coach for 2007 Masters Champion Zach Johnson and Ryder Cupper Vaughn Taylor.
The site features O’Brien’s advice, fundamentals and drills for superior putting performance based on his coaching with renowned Tour pros, accomplished amateurs and everyday golfers who want to improve their putting performance.
He built his successful putting fundamentals on Stewart’s superior putting performance throughout the 1999 season. Stewart led the Tour in fewest putts per round and won the US Open at Pinehurst with only 24 putts, considered the greatest putting performance in Major Championship history.
O’Brien coached Taylor and Johnson, two of the PGA Tour’s best putters, as they progressed from the Hooters Tour to the PGA Tour and the Ryder Cup in six years, based on the strength of consistently good putting. Taylor and Johnson have also both won Tour putting titles.
Regarded as one of the nation’s top putting instructors, O’Brien’s ideas debunking putting myths are featured in an instruction story in a recent Hot List Issue of Golf Digest.
“I really like the consistent stream of blog posts with video, photos and audio that make my new blog the landing page of my website. It has boosted my reputation and awareness on a global level, and has built credibility for my business,” says O’Brien.
“The positive results for this new Pat O’Brien blog demonstrate the power of this powerful platform for building brand awareness and authenticity,” says Kevin Donnellon, President of Macali. “The blog has elevated Pat’s stature while motivating and managing important conversation and buzz about the brand even in this tough economy.”
In addition to traditional marketing and PR services, Macali Communications offers a comprehensive range of social media services and programs including education, seminars, strategy, and ideation and counseling sessions as well blogging and social media strategy and implementation. Macali’s golf marketing blog offers smart, powerful ideas, insights and strategies.
