Highlighting Weekend Success, Softspikes® Earns Victory At The Champions Tour’s Dick’s Sporting Goods Open
Brentwood, Tennessee, June 29, 2009 … Softspikes® golf cleats – the world’s best selling cleat brand – captured a victory at the Champions Tour’s Dick’s Sporting Goods Open, where 20 of the top 25 finishers also donned the Company’s stable of products. Complementing the win and another dominating weekend on tour, Softspikes also captured the plastic cleat fields on the PGA, LPGA, Champions and Nationwide Tours, while continuing to average an amazing 80% player usage rate across the combined tours.
Further adding to the Company’s success on tour, Softspikes dominated the weekend leaderboards with 7 of the top 10 finishers at the PGA TOUR’s Travelers Championship, 33 of the top 35 finishers at the Nationwide Tour’s Players Cup and 23 of the top 31 finishers at the Wegman’s LPGA, all wearing Softspikes brand cleats, including Pulsar®, the #1 Cleat on Tour, and the new Black Widow® Tour™, golf’s first adjustable plastic cleat.
