June 30, 2009 (Oak Brook Terrace, IL) Zero Friction staff player Kenny Perry continued his successful 2009 season with a win at the Travelers Championship this past weekend. Perry set the tone by posting a first round score of 61, which tied the course record at TPC River Highlands. He followed up with scores of 68, 66, and 63 (-22), winning by 3 shots over Paul Goydos and David Toms.
The victory at the Travelers Championship is the 14th of Perry’s career on tour and his second in 2009. Perry’s other victory came in February at the FBR Open. The win also catapults Perry to the top of the FedEx Cup Standings as well as the PGA Tour Money List. It also places him 4th in the Official World Golf Ranking.
