WingDing Media Announces Live Coverage of the 2023 ULD (Ultimate Long Drive) World Championship Presented by Experience Columbia, SC at Par Tee Golf Center In West Columbia, SC
Emmy and Ace Award Winning Veteran Golf Play-By-Play Sportscaster Jim Kelly Will Host the 2023 ULD World Championship Coverage. Five Days of Competition Coverage Will Be Aired on the WingDing Media Network of Apps as well as Highlights From The Event on NBC Sports’ Traveling Golfer Show
The 2023 ULD World Championship is being held at Par Tee Golf Center in West Columbia, SC October 4 – 8, 2023. The event will include age divisions from 7 & Under to 75+ as well as divisions for athletes playing with disabilities and the Valor division for military and first responders.
Professional and amateur athletes from around the world have competed in qualifying events, leagues, and national championships to earn a spot in this prestigious event.
Emmy and Ace Award winning veteran sportscaster, Jim Kelly will host the play-by-play. The familiar “Hi again everybody, I’m Jim Kelly” intro to the broadcast will be heard for the fifth year in a row at this annual event. When asked about hosting the ULD competition, Kelly had this to say, “This is one of my favorite times each year. Getting to see athletes of all ages and abilities swinging away on the tee is exhilarating to say the least. The same excitement for this sport is seen from the players from all countries-from the youngest to the oldest competitors”.

“Over the past six years, we’ve done both: live streamed; and produced for TV, the ULD Championship”, said Dustin Gilder, Vice President and Executive Producer for WingDing Media. “The live coverage with commentary is nerve-wracking for sure, but gives us the ability to showcase all players in all divisions, something ULD is adamant about. Last year we produced the finals of all divisions for TV. It resulted in over 4 hours of produced programming and still left people out of the show. Admission to the event is free for spectators. The competition begins each day at 8 am. The daily schedule by age division is as follows:
Wednesday October 4th – 75+, 70+, 65+, 60+, 55+ Men – Amateur and Professional
Thursday October 5th – 50+, 45+, 40+ Men Amateur and Professional
Friday October 6th – 35+, & Open Men – Amateur and Professional Elimination Rounds down to final group (group # TBD)
Saturday October 7th – Youth, Juniors, and Adaptive – 35+ and Open Men Finals, & Valor
Sunday October 8th – Valor Finals (if needed), Adult Ladies All Ages.
