(TORONTO) – Dunning Sportswear announces that golf phenom Kyle Stanley has joined its roster of elite staff players and will showcase the company’s classic prep wardrobe while making his professional debut during the Traveler’s Championship, June 25-28 at TPC River Highlands inCromwell, CT.
Winner of the 2009 Ben Hogan Award as the nation’s top collegiate player, the 21-year-old will compete in Dunning’s authentic, premium-quality garments while displaying the company logo on his chest and sleeve. “My taste is classic all the way,” says Stanley. “It’s about looking and playing my best, not chasing trends, wearing wild colors and weird patterns. This game has the greatest traditions of any sport, and Dunning does an amazing job blending true golf styling with a prep feel that is totally cool.”
Previously ranked among the world’s top-10 amateurs, Stanley was a First Team NCAA All American in 2006 and 2008. A member of the 2007 U.S. Walker Cup squad, his impressive resume includes two Southern Amateur titles and the Jones Cup. During three years at ClemsonUniversity, Stanley won two tournaments and was twice runner-up in the NCAA National Tournament. He was also named ACC Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year in 2006.
“Kyle has an incredibly natural, old-school style that aligns perfectly with our brand,” says company founder Ralph Dunning. “He’s at the leading edge of a country club prep revival among young players on Tour. We’re excited for him to compete in our full range of performance, cotton and wool fabrics, as well as our belts and accessories.”
In addition to Stanley, Dunning is worn in competition by many of the world’s best golfers, including John Rollins, John Senden and 2007 Masters champion Zach Johnson.

About Dunning
Fueled by an authentic country club heritage, Dunning sportswear is built on the premium quality, clean silhouettes and classic prep colors that gentlemen have preferred for generations.
Featuring the richest fabrics and a complete consistency of fit, Dunning garments are born from a family tradition of classic British tailoring combined with nearly two decades on the leading-edge of technical apparel design.
This unique background and unrivalled commitment to producing well-made clothing is expressed in two distinct fabric stories – proprietary performance blends and traditional materials such as luxurious cotton and wool.
Offering pieces in both categories for each season’s collection, Dunning is devoted to crafting truly versatile menswear staples that are ideal for business, casual, athletic and leisure outings.
Dunning was founded by 44-year-old Toronto native and lifelong athlete Ralph Dunning. An IRONMAN competitor and marathoner, Dunning first garnered widespread acclaim in the 1990s for his Rip n’ Hammer line of premium technical clothing for triathletes and cyclists. He also drew praise for work on behalf of some of the world’s largest and most authentic sports brands.
Partnering with only the best mills and manufacturing using ISO 9001 facilities allows Dunning to provide discerning consumers with a complete quality assurance. The company also engineers its technical fabrics from the yarn up, meaning performance is built-in and won’t wash- or wear-out after repeated use.
Dunning sportswear is widely available at marquee clubs and resorts throughout North America, as well as world class merchandisers like Bloomingdales and Golf Town, Canada’s premier golf retailer.
