The best players in senior golf return to Harbor Shores in Benton Harbor, Michigan Memorial Day Weekend
BENTON HARBOR, Mich. – The PGA of America is thrilled to announce that today, tickets for the 84th KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship at Harbor Shores are officially available for purchase. The Championship, one of the most historic and prestigious events in senior golf, is returning to Benton Harbor, Michigan May 23-26, 2024, bringing a variety of family-friendly experiences throughout the entire weekend.
“We couldn’t be more excited to return home to Harbor Shores for the 2024 KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship,” said Championship Director Brandon Haney. “The Southwest Michigan community takes pride in this event and helps ensure it’s a huge success. We expect tickets to sell quickly, and we can’t wait to host fans from across the globe once again next year.”
An Event That Is More Than Just Cooking and Golf
In 2011, KitchenAid first launched its partnership with the PGA of America through this major Championship in an effort to bring growth and attention to the company’s hometown in Southwest Michigan. And it was wildly successful. Since the private-public partnership among Harbor Shores, KitchenAid and the PGA of America was launched, the KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship returns home to Harbor Shores every other year, bringing jobs, tourism and international media attention to the area.
“Since 2011, the Southwest Michigan community has more than embraced the KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship. Our community and the volunteers have turned this Championship into an unforgettable Memorial Day weekend tradition each time it returns to Harbor Shores,” said Pamela Klyn, general chair of the championship and executive vice president, corporate relations and sustainability, Whirlpool Corporation. “We have big plans for the 2024 Championship and we can’t wait to bring this event to life for our local community, our employees and the fans.”
A Family Affair
Those who have attended the KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship in the past know that this event is about more than golf. It is an experience for the whole family. In 2024, the Championship will bring back Kids Day, a time for kids to get inside the ropes, compete for prizes in the KitchenAid Fairway Club, have fun outdoors and much more.
For those who come to town for the craft beer and wine scene in Michigan, the Makers Trail 19th Hole Pavilion will be available as an upgraded ticket and will feature Southwest Michigan’s best wineries, breweries and distilleries. More information about the on-site experiences will be announced at a later date.
