July 2, 2009 (Oak Brook Terrace, IL) Zero Friction staff player Vicky Hurst is having an outstanding rookie season on the LPGA Tour. At 19 years old, Hurst is coming off of a stellar career on the Duramed Futures Tour and is showing that she will be a top player for years to come on the professional circuit.
Hurst was a 2-time Florida Junior Tour Player of the Year in 2006-07, both years she qualified for the U.S. Women’s Open. So far in 2009, she has posted 4 top-25 finishes including a tie for 5th at the LPGA Corning Classic. At that same event, Hurst posted her low-round to date on tour with a 63. In total, she has recorded 18 rounds under par in 2009.
