PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – The 2009 PGA Fall Expo is underscoring return-on-investment value by offering the event’s popular education conference of some 20 professional development seminars at absolutely no cost for the first time this September 1-2 in Las Vegas. Seminars will continue to be led by the industry’s foremost experts from The PGA of America, Association of Golf Merchandisers and successful golf business leaders, plus provide PGA members with MSR Credits (member service credits) for each hour attended.
The PGA Fall Expo Conference program is offered as part of The PGA’s “Your PGA Blueprint for the Changing World”, a multifaceted program for career and professional enhancement, facility management and growth of the game. Only the best in the industry are taking on the most important issues, trends and developments that will shape the business of golf moving forward. Hot seminar topics include steps to surviving the economy and the “greening” of golf and five-star customer service. Seminars will take place directly on the Show floor within multiple new education stages on Tuesday, September 1, 9:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. and on Wednesday, September 2, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Simultaneous to Fashion Week in Las Vegas and the MAGIC™, MODA™, MRket®, and ACCESSORIES: The Show®*, the PGA Fall Expo annually attracts more than 4,000 international golf retailers to the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas. On the day before the Expo opens, Monday, August 31, attendees have the opportunity to participate in two golf tournaments and the Outdoor Demo Day at the Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort. The all-new PGA Fall Expo Professional Challenge Cup debuts in 2009 featuring a $25,000 purse, $10,000 first place prize and pay out to 50% of the two-person PGA Professional teams in the four-ball stroke play tournament (purse/prize based on 100-team field). Separately, the PGA Fall Expo Amateur Shoot Out (formerly the PGA Fall Expo Golf Outing and Product Testing event) features two shot-gun scramble events for four-person amateur teams with top prizes and Expo vendor merchandise credits to the winning teams. The PGA Fall Expo Outdoor Demo Day returns for the fourth year on Paiute’s driving range, short game area and putting green. Product testing, exhibitor demonstrations and professional networking takes place from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and features more than 40 golf vendors unveiling the latest golf equipment, training aids and accessories.

PGA Professional registration for the PGA Fall Expo Professional Challenge Cup is $250 per player through August 27 and includes the entry fee, range and balls, carts, breakfast (morning shotgun), lunch (both shotguns), refreshments on course and Expo manufacturer gift bags.
