July 6, 2009 Grand Haven, Michigan. Ontic Golf announces the latest innovation in its line of putters: the Swytch Blade putter. The Swytch Blade putter advances Ontic’s previous adjustable blade designs. The body is 100% CNC-machined from a solid block of carbon steel and then plated in a Platinum color. Ontic will be offering a Black / Black-Chrome finish in the near future.
The hosel assembly and counter-weight sections are machined from aircraft grade aluminum and then hard-coat anodized in either Platinum or Black. All other hardware is stainless steel. The adjustable Swytch Blade putter features Ontic’s patented Dynamic Sole Technology (DST) and the same locking system as their flag-ship M-Pulse Mallet. 2.5 degrees of loft is standard on Ontic putters. The head weighs in at 355grams, but additional weights will soon be available for those looking to increase its swing-weight.
Bernie Pinder, President, states, “We’re excited about our first adjustable blade. The introduction of the Swytch Blade adds a new option for those looking to move into a self-adjustable blade putter. We believe that the putter is the most important club in the golfer’s bag. A custom-fit putter is essential to lowering your score consistently, and Ontic is in the forefront when it comes to custom fitting your putter.”
All Ontic putters utilize our patented ADJUSTABLE LIE ANGLE LOCKING SYSTEM and DST Technology. Both these features conform to USGA Rules. The Swytch Blade is available in both right and left hand models. A custom adjusting tool and attractive head cover are included.
The innovative and patented design system allows each golfer to custom fit their putter’s lie angle to fit to their own set-up and stroke. Having the correct lie angle is critical to ensure consistent and absolute precise set-up; a combination that leads to consistent putting. Most off-the-shelf putters will have a standard lie angle of 70-72 degrees. That is the reason most golfers have the toe pointing up. Ninety percent of the golfers we custom fit will have a lie angle between 66-69 degrees; much flatter than all off-the-shelf putters. Ontic putters come in standard lengths, but can be custom fit in ¼ inch increments.
ADJUSTABLE LIE ANGLES AND DYNAMIC SOLE TECHNOLOGY
A consistent custom lie angle is made possible with Ontic’s patented “Dynamic Sole Technology” (DST): the absolute perfect sole platform design that allows the heel and toe of the putter to always be set up flat to the putting surface.
POSITIVE LIE ANGLE LOCKING SYSTEM
After the golfer has custom-fit their personal lie angle, the Ontic “POSITIVE LIE ANGLE LOCKING SYSTEM” locks in the angle to conform to USGA requirements for adjustable putters.
Ontic Golf, a company that’s been raising some eyebrows for its innovative designs in the golf business. “Our goal and mission is to continue designing and manufacturing putters and other golf products to greatly improve putting performance for the golfing community. We hold a number of patents (and we have patents that are pending) for game-improving, innovative golf products. All of our putters conform to USGA standards and are made in the U.S.A.” states Pinder. Stay tuned to see what innovations Pinder and Ontic Golf come up with next! Ontic Golf’s intent is easy to define: “We want to lower your score”.
