Novi, MI – Baylor University graduate and 2Thumb putting grip player who started his pro career in 2024, has become the third golfer to win both the 2025 Korn Ferry Tour Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year awards in the same season. He finished the 2025 season No. 1 on the points list while securing two victories in the process.
In his first year since turning pro, the 24 year old posted some impressive stats and set the Korn Ferry’s Tour’s single season scoring average at 67.95. He was the only player to finish in the top 15 in scrambling (second), total driving (fourth), putting average (10th) and greens in regulation (15th).
The awards are voted on by the Korn Ferry Tour Membership. The last two players to receive both honors in the same season are PGA TOUR champions Sungjae Im (2018) and Scottie Scheffler (2019).
The Korn Ferry Tour Championship was played at The Pete Dye Course at French Lick resort, October 9-12, 2025, in French Lick, Indiana. Twenty players earned their PGA TOUR card based on their season-long performance including the KFT double award winner. The Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year’s No. 1 points total guarantee him spots in the 2026 Players Championship and the U.S. Open. In addition, he’s currently sits at No. 50 in the Official World Golf Ranking. The Top 50 players at the end of the calendar year earn a spot in the 2026 Masters.
The standout rookie plays the new Two Thumb STP 24 putting grips. Widely used by professional golfers with numerous wins, The Snug Tour Pistol is a proven favorite on both the DP and PGA Tours.
The grip features a smooth soft and flat front to ensure consistent grip alignment with a deeper butt end (axe handle) shape that perfectly feels the space naturally created between hand and grip. 2Thumb’s Dimax technology runs down both sides of the grip to ensure traction helping players sink more putts.
2Thumb putting grips are approved by the USGA and R&A. They are an incredibly versatile grip that accommodates a variety of putting grip styles, from Conventional, Claw, Left hand low, Prayer etc.
