2025 WORLD LONG DRIVE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS MEDIA COVERAGE OPPORTUNITIES

THE EVENT

World Long Drive (WLD) is the ultimate, full-throttle competition to see who can outlast their opponent by hitting a golf ball the farthest. More than 120 of the world’s best long drivers will tee off for the World Long Drive World Championships, September 25-27 at Bigfoot Turf Farm, marking the largest annual domestic professional golf event not associated with the PGA of America, the PGA Tour, or the LPGA.

For the first time, the event will take place in Colorado, where four World Champions will be crowned: Men’s Open Division, Women’s Division, Men’s Senior Division, and Men’s Amateur Division. The World Long Drive World Championships will be broadcast on GOLF Channel, with winners earning the coveted World Championship belt, valuable World Ranking points, and an enhanced purse to close the season.

Open Division Round One (80 players)
Time: 8:00 a.m.

The Men’s Open Division begins Round One, a preliminary points round. There are 96 players in the Open Division field. Players compete in groups of 16, the top eight finishers from each group advance to the next round.

Schedule of play:
8:00 – 9:30 a.m. – Group 1 (16 Players – Top 8 Advance)
9:30 – 11:00 a.m. – Group 2 (16 Players – Top 8 Advance)
11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. – Group 3 (16 Players – Top 8 Advance)
1:00 – 2:30 p.m. – Group 4 (16 Players – Top 8 Advance)
2:30 – 4:00 p.m. – Group 5 (16 Players – Top 8 Advance)
4:05 – 4:10 p.m. – Shootout (10th place finisher in each group – Top 3 to Round Two)

Senior Division World Championship (24 players)
Time: 4:30 p.m.

Schedule of Play:
4:30 – 6:00 p.m. – Group 1 (12 Players – Top 4 Advance)
6:00 – 7:30 p.m. – Group 1 (12 Players – Top 4 Advance)

The Men’s Open Division begins Round Two, a preliminary points round, with 48 players remaining in the Open Division field. Players compete in groups of 16; the top nine finishers from each group advance to the next round.

9:00 – 10:30 a.m. – Group 1 (16 Players – Top 9 Advance)
10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – Group 2 (16 Players – Top 9 Advance)
12:00 – 1:30 p.m. – Group 3 (16 Players – Top 9 Advance)

Open Division Round Three (27 players)
Time: 2:00 – 5:10 p.m.

The Men’s Open Division begins Round Three, a preliminary points round, with 27 players remaining in the Open Division field. Players compete in groups of 9; the top five finishers from each group advance to the next round.

2:00 – 3:00 p.m. – Group 1 (9 Players – Top 5 Advance to Round of 16)
3:00 – 4:00 p.m. – Group 2 (9 Players – Top 5 Advance to Round of 16)

Time: 8:00 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.

Schedule of play:
8:00 – 9:00 a.m. – Group 1 (9 Players – Top 5 Advance)
9:00 – 10:00 a.m. – Group 2 (9 Players – Top 5 Advance)
10:00 – 11:00 a.m. – Group 3 (9 Players – Top 5 Advance)
11:05 – 11:10 a.m. – Shootout (6th place finisher in each group – Winner to Round of 16)
11:10 – 11:45 a.m. – Round of 16 / Quarterfinals / Semifinals / Finals

Open Division Round Four (16 players)
Time: 12:30 – 2:00 p.m.

The Men’s Open Division begins Round Four, a preliminary points round, with 16 players remaining in the Open Division field. The top eight finishers advance to the Quarterfinals.

Schedule of play:
12:30 – 2:00 p.m. – Group 1 (16 Players – Top 8 Advance to Quarterfinals)

Women’s Division World Championship (16 players)
Time: 2:00 – 3:30 p.m.

2:00 – 3:30 p.m. – Group 1 (16 Players – Top 8 Advance to Quarterfinals)
3:30 – 4:00 p.m. – Quarterfinals / Semifinals / Finals

Youth Clinic presented by Newtown Golf Shafts
Time: 3:00 – 3:45 p.m.

World Long Drive professionals will host a clinic for kids (11-18 years old) of all skill levels. Participants will learn from the pros and test their new skills on the range, with a Q&A to follow.

Open Division Quarterfinals, Semifinals, & Final
Time: 4:00 – 5:30 p.m.

The eight players who have qualified in the Open Division will compete in head-to-head match play. The four winners of the Quarterfinals match-ups advance to the Semifinals. The two winners of the Semifinals advance to compete in the Final, where the winner will be crowned the 2025 World Champion.

World Long Drive requires that media put in an official request to speak to a player post-play (media availability is not automatic without specific player request).
