2026 Marilynn Smith Scholarship Pro-Am Fundraising Underway

February 20, 2026

Phoenix, AZ  – Golf It Forward® has officially launched its fundraising campaign to support the Marilynn Smith Scholarship Program.

The events, including the Marilynn Smith Sunday Tea and Scholarship Pro-Am will take place at the Westin Kierland Golf Club, Scottsdale, AZ, a Troon-managed facility. This year’s tournament honorees are Meg Mallon and Beth Daniel, both members of the World Golf Hall of Fame.

Proceeds benefit the Marilynn Smith Scholarship Fund, which provides 25, $5000 scholarships to female students from the US and Canada who demonstrate academic achievement, leadership, and extraordinary community involvement and are committed to play collegiate golf. Since its inception in 1999, the Fund has awarded $1,500,000 in scholarships to 300 young women.

Both events are being held under the auspices of Golf It Forward®(GIF), an organization dedicated to promoting and preserving the legacy of the 13 Founders of the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA).

Festivities kick off Sunday, April 27 with the Marilynn Smith Sunday Tea, from 1:00 PM – 3:30 PM at The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa in Scottsdale, AZ. Guests will have an opportunity to meet and hear from the event honorees, LPGA legends and special guests in addition to experiencing the Golf It Forward Museum and Community Expo. This event is open to the public and requires a pre-purchased ticket. Admission is $40 for adults and free to those 17 years of age and under. Purchased and free tickets must be secured through the event ticket site.

The Westin Kierland Golf Club will host the Marilynn Smith Scholarship Pro-Am on April 28, with proceeds benefiting Smith’s Scholarship Fund. Each team consists of an LPGA pro and four amateur partners. The field is comprised of 30 teams, each matched with a female pro. Three PEARLS (scholarship recipients) will participate, as well – bringing to life Marilynn’s legacy.
