(Sandwich Bay, Kent)  – The inaugural Hagen 54 has been hailed as an outstanding success, as golfers from across the UK and beyond completed one of the most ambitious and historic experiences in links golf across Royal Cinque Ports, Royal St George’s and Prince’s Golf Club.

Inspired by the legendary feat of Jim Barnes and Walter Hagen, who famously played all three Kent links courses in a single day in 1920, the Hagen 54 brings history to life in spectacular fashion. The 54-hole journey delivers an unforgettable one-day experience across three Championship courses – and demand has been nothing short of extraordinary.

So strong has the response been that the 2026 Hagen 54 is now completely sold out, with registration officially open for 2027 as golfers rush to secure their place in this once-in-a-generation event.

Played across Royal Cinque Ports, Royal St George’s and Prince’s Golf Club, the inaugural Hagen54 saw participants retrace the original route of the legends. Play began on the Deal course at Royal Cinque Ports, where 11 holes were completed before crossing to Royal St George’s for a further eight holes. The journey then continued to Prince’s Golf Club, where players completed a full 18-hole stretch, before returning to Royal St George’s and Royal Cinque Ports to play the remaining holes, with the day concluding fittingly on the 18th at Royal Cinque Ports. From dawn starts to dramatic coastal finishes, the adventure captures the imagination of everyone involved.

“The inaugural Hagen 54 exceeded all expectations,” said Rob McGuirk, General Manager of Prince’s Golf Club. “To see golfers experience these three Championship links courses in one day – just as Barnes and Hagen once did – was incredibly special. The demand we’ve seen since confirms that this event has firmly established itself as one of the most unique and sought-after experiences in world golf.”

The event combines world-class championship golf with exceptional hospitality throughout, including on-course catering, optional caddie services, welcome events and a post-golf supper that allows participants to reflect on an extraordinary achievement. The sense of camaraderie, shared challenge and historic significance proves central to the event’s appeal.

Golfers taking part in the Hagen 54 not only test themselves across three Championship venues, but also become part of a story that links the past, present and future of the game. For many, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience – and for others, the start of a tradition they are eager to repeat.

With 2026 already sold out, interest is now firmly focused on Hagen 54 2027, with limited places available and demand continuing to grow rapidly.
