100% of Proceeds for Annual Golf Outing to Benefit Phoenix Children’s Hospital

PHOENIX, Ariz. – July 15, 2009…JW Marriott Wildfire Golf Club, one of the premier golf resort destinations in Arizona, announced today that the property will host its 8th annual Children’s Miracle Network Charity Golf Tournament on Thursday, September 10, 2009. All of the proceeds from this year’s tournament will benefit Phoenix Children’s Hospital.

The 2009 event marks the 8th consecutive year that Wildfire Golf Club will host this charity event, as participants will have the opportunity to tee it up on two of the Valley’s most beautiful golf courses, the Palmer Signature Course and the Faldo Championship Course, while supporting a very worthy cause.

Registration will run from 6 a.m. to 7:15 a.m., followed by a 7:30 a.m. golf outing with a shotgun start. Golf will be followed by an awards ceremony, raffle and silent auction.

The cost to participate in this charity golf tournament is $25 per Marriott employee and $100 per non-Marriott employee, and includes cart, range balls, and prizes. The deadline to register is September 5, 2009, with a $15 late fee if received any day thereafter. Participants will enjoy a day of golf while helping the kids at Phoenix Children’s Hospital.

“We hope this year’s tournament will be as successful as in years past,” said John Wright, Director of Golf at Wildfire Golf Club. “It is great to get the local community together to raise money for such a worthy cause.”

For information regarding the tournament, please contact Candice Palmer at candice.palmer@marriott.com, or Vicki Sterling at vicki.sterling@marriott.com.
