“River Oaks looks forward to hosting a tournament for such a worthy cause,” says Chuck Young, General Manager of River Oaks. “This is a wonderful way for people in our community to come together.”
Chick Evans is a par-71, 5,691-yard layout located in the northern Chicago suburbs. The course is named after Chick Evans who was the first amateur golfer to win both the U.S. Open and the U.S. Amateur and founded the Chick Evans Scholarship program for caddies. The Chicago River cuts right through the center of the course offering beautiful scenery and a formidable obstacle for golfers who play here.
River Oaks – a par-72, 5,952-yard course – has the Little Calumet River winding through with water in play on 14 of the 18 holes. Golfers will use every club in their bag as they face the challenge of not only water but of 58 strategically placed bunkers throughout.
