“We are absolutely delighted to be a part of such a well-known amateur golf event,” says Joanne Noble, President of CEO Challenges Canada®. “The World Am attracts more than 3,500 golfers and we feel it will provide an excellent networking platform for like-minded executives who share the same passion for business and golf. The proven track record of this professionally-run tournament goes hand in hand with our brand. And by using the handicap system for scoring allows all levels of golfers to participate without being intimidated if they’re not a scratch golfer. “I look forward to crowning the CEO Golf Challenge World Am Champion.”
“We are thrilled to incorporate the CEO Golf Challenge into the PGA TOUR Superstore World Amateur Handicap Championship,” Dave Macpherson, tournament director of the PGA TOUR Superstore World Amateur Handicap Championship. “Golf and business have always worked hand-in-hand, so it’s only appropriate that the best CEO golfer is crowned at the world’s premier amateur tournament.”

About PGA TOUR Superstore World Amateur Handicap Championship
Golfers from all 50 states and more than 30 foreign countries flock to Myrtle Beach, S.C., every year to participate in a tournament that provides the ultimate golf experience for the amateur golfer. Now in its 26th year, the World Amateur allows everyone from scratch golfers to 30+ handicappers to test their nerves and competitive resolve.
The World Amateur features six competitive divisions, ranging from men and women 49 and under to the super seniors (70+). Within the divisions, golfers are flighted by closely grouped handicaps. The event features between 60 and 70 flights and the winner of each flight advances to the championship round, an 18-hole playoff that determines the world’s amateur golf champion. The tournament is open to all golfers – men, women, young and old – with a certified USGA handicap.
The PGA Tour Superstore World Amateur is played under USGA rules, the only significant exception being the use of a cart. There are no mulligans, gimmes or foot wedges at the World Amateur, which heightens the competitive experience.
The tournament is played on approximately 50 different Myrtle Beach area courses, including several Top 100 public layouts, and each flight plays a different course each day.
