MIAMI, Fl (July 23, 2009) – Tonight on www.thegolfersnation.com, the final part of a special three-part series featuring Ken Venturi on “Classic Conversations” will debut.
Originally recorded in 1999 for a special video exploring the swing of Ben Hogan, Venturi – and host Jim McLean – discuss the swing of Hogan, and touch upon several other topics … such as specifics of Venturi’s swing in the 1964 U.S. Open which Venturi won for his only Major Championship. Venturi walked away from the game shortly thereafter due to severe pain caused by carpal tunnel syndrome … and despite multiple surgeries was unable to overcome the pain.
Venturi, also discussed the 1983 interview he conducted with Hogan and the circumstances surrounding it – as demanded by the Hawk. Venturi also discusses the end of Hogan’s storied career and shares some great encounters between the two.
McLean, owner of theNo.1 Ranked Golf Schools in America, and currently ranked No. 4 in Golf Digests Top-100 Teachers in the world, has spent countless hours on the range – and even more visiting with Venturi to discuss all-things golf. A true student of the game, McLean is fascinated by the game’s remarkable history, and his enthusiasm when speaking with the legends of the game is apparent in every interview he does.
Also, currently airing on TheGolfersNation.com is a part 1 of a special series on Jackie Burke, winner of the 1956 Masters and PGA Championship.
