July 23, 2009 (Oak Brook Terrace, IL) Zero Friction Tees will have a strong presence at this week’s RBC Canadian Open. The event, which is held at Glen Abbey Golf Club in Oakville, Ontario, will feature Zero Friction staff players Mark Wilson, Ryan Palmer, and Dean Wilson.
Mark Wilson has 6 top-25 finishes on the PGA Tour in 2009 including a win at the Mayakoba Golf Classic. He is averaging 283 yards per drive this season and has a 66.5% driving accuracy. Wilson is coming off of solid performance at the U.S. Bank Championship where he shot -6 for the week. He has made the cut in 12 of the 18 tournament he’s played in thus far.
Ryan Palmer is coming off of back-to-back top-25 finishes at the AT&T National and John Deere Classic. He is averaging 294 yards per drive (39th on tour) and had hit 60% or fairways in regulation in 2009. Palmer has also recorded 8 eagles in tournament play this year which is 8th on tour.
Dean Wilson has had top finishes this year at the Buick Invitational (19th), Northern Trust Open (17th), and Verizon Heritage (13th). He has hit 62% of fairways in regulation and ranks 6th on tour in putting average.
