Is Thracian Cliffs Europe’s Pebble Beach?
Golf legend, Gary Player has just ended a 4-day visit to his two Signature Golf Courses on the Black Sea Coast of Bulgaria inspecting the final stages of the course construction at Thracian Cliffs and attending the Grand Opening of BlackSeaRama.
Thracian Cliffs is an exceptional resort development located along 4,500m of the stunning white Cape Kaliakra cliffs. This spectacular location has allowed Gary Player Design to create a truly outstanding golf course with 8 holes running along the cliff top and unbroken sea views from every hole on the course, “The site at Thracian Cliffs reminds me of Pebble Beach and I expect the golf course to be just as dramatic” said Player, who firmly believes that Thracian Cliffs will prove to be one of the top 3 golf resorts in all of Europe.
With 6 holes already seeded and being maintained and the remainder expected to be seeded before the end of the year, the full 18 holes are expected to open for play in the summer of 2010. Thracian Cliffs will also include superb real estate developments with sea and golf views, marina, spa and a luxury Chedi hotel, Chedi Villas, Chedi Club Suites, Chedi Residences, as well as Chedi Spa and Chedi Beach Club managed by General Hotel Management (GHM) based in Singapore.

BlackSeaRama is located only 2km along the coast from Thracian Cliffs and is Player’s first Signature Course in Bulgaria. Before accompanying a fortunate few around the back nine of this superb course, Player entertained and educated the assembled media and golfers during a golf clinic where he demonstrated that his golf game is still as sharp as ever.
BlackSeaRama is already establishing itself across the region for the quality of the golf and the warm welcome it provides visitors. With the addition of Thracian Cliffs in 2010, the Black Sea coast of Bulgaria will offer a golf destination which all golfers should want to discover.
