BALTIMORE, MD. – July 24, 2009 – STX, world-renowned as an industry pioneer in putter innovation, and for its patented Soft Face Insert Technology, announced that the company will be exhibiting at the PGA Fall Expo at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino on Tuesday, September 1st and Wednesday, September 2nd. In addition, STX is participating in the third annual Golf Outing and Demo Day at the Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort on Monday, August 31st.
“The PGA Fall Expo provides STX the perfect opportunity and timing to launch our new fall putters. PGA Professionals, retailers, buyers, and media will all be impressed with the new ProFit 4 & 5 Putters,” said STX Director of Golf Steve Henneman. “In addition attendees at the demo day will experience first hand the performance factors of the STX Soft Face Inserts.”
STX will showcase it’s a reinvention of the popular ProFit™ series of putters at the upcoming PGA Fall Expo. STX introduced the ProFit series of interchangeable insert putters in the late 90’s and now they will look to improve on that offering with several highly engineered putters that will feature interchangeable inserts and weights. The STX ProFit system provides quick adjustments for feel and weighting through interchangeable faces and weights. This ability to control the putter head and speed according to personal preferences and course conditions is a huge advantage.
STX invites all attendees to visit the STX booth #11501 located in the Equipment Hall within the Teaching, Training, & Fitness section directly across from the Short Game Center to review the new STX fall putter lineup.
Or if you prefer trying a STX Putter at the demo day, come by the putting green at Paiute Golf Resort. If you prefer to make an appointment, please contact the STX public relations representative Vanessa Price at 714-544-6515 or readthegreens@aol.com and she will schedule an appointment.
About STX:
STX is acknowledged as being the golf industry’s foremost authority on insert face technology. Over a quarter century ago, the company introduced the first patented soft face elastomer insert, creating the “softest legal face in golf.” In the mid-90s the company’s research and development team introduced the first USGA approved interchangeable face insert and removable weight system. Both these and other innovations have helped create the standards for putter design today.
Behind the company’s uniquely styled putter heads is Robert “Bob” Engman, STX Putters’ Chief Club Designer. A world-renowned sculptor with works in the Hirshhorn Museum, the Whitney Museum and the Museum of Modern Art, Bob is also a three-time senior champion at Merion Golf Club in Philadelphia.
