July 30, 2009 (Oak Brook Terrace, IL) Zero Friction staff player Guy Sciortino posted a third place finish at the 60th Illinois Open Championship which concluded on Wednesday. The event, which was held at Hawthorn Woods Country Club, brings out the top professional and amateur players throughout the state. For Sciortino, it is his 8th career top-10 finish at the tournament.
After opening with and even par 71, Sciortino fired back-to-back rounds of 69 on the 7,100 championship layout. He also led the 150-man field in birdies (14) and par-breakers (25.9%).
