CHICAGO — EZLinks Golf Inc. announced the sale of their handicapping and tournament management software business unit for USGA certified regional and state golf associations to GolfNet.
EZLinks had been providing handicapping services and software to regional and state golf associations since 1999.
By purchasing the handicapping and tournament management software business, GolfNet will now provide products and services to the following golf associations: Arizona Golf Association, Chicago District Golf Association, Louisiana Golf Association, Montana State Golf Association, Southern Illinois Golf Association, Southern Nevada Golf Association, and Utah Golf Association.
GolfNet, based in Pinehurst, NC, currently also provides service to the Carolinas Golf Association, Delaware State Golf Association, Golf Association of Florida, Keystone’s Premier Golf Association, Maryland State Golf Association, South Carolina Golf Association, Women’s South Carolina Golf Association, and Wisconsin State Golf Association in the United States, as well as the Royal Canadian Golf Association and Golf Association of Ontario in Canada.
“This transaction is a win-win for our Association customers, GolfNet, and EZLinks. GolfNet focuses entirely on providing outstanding handicapping and tournament management systems, as well as exceptional customer support. Our association customers will be in good hands with GolfNet,” said EZLinks CEO, Hanford Choy. “The handicapping and tournament software business unit was a relatively small part of EZLinks. We will now be able to focus our resources on our core competency, on providing world class software, services and tools to golf course operators to help them increase rounds and revenue, deliver better customer service, and improve operational efficiency.”
“We’re obviously very pleased to be able to include these prestigious Golf Associations amongst our clients,” said Jim Stracka, CEO of GolfNet. “I am very excited to bring this business to North Carolina as well. North Carolina is already the Golf Capital of the World and we intend to make it the Golf Technology Capital as well.”
