Sanford, FL – RIFE Putters would like to congratulate the winner of the 2009 U.S. Senior Open Championship. The winner started off the last day with a one shot lead and his bogey free 65 (-7) on Sunday was one of the greatest final rounds in Major Championship history. His 4 day total of 268 (-20) shattered the previous record by 3 shots and he became the first player in history to reach 20 under par in a USGA Event.
The Senior Open win comes a week after a heart-breaking loss in a sudden death playoff at the British Senior Open Championship.
The winner, using a Rife Barbados putter, was deadly accurate on the greens all week, averaging only 27.25 Putts Per Round, and finishing in the Top 10 in both putting categories.
This marks the first ever USGA Championship for RIFE Putters and their 4th Major Title since 2007.
