Corning, CA- The inaugural “Olive City Open” Championship is slated for September 17-18, 2009 at Sevillano Links, the nationally-recognized John Daly Signature Course in Corning, CA. This stroke play championship will attract seasoned players both amateurs and professionals alike.
“We look forward to hosting the first-ever Olive City Open Championship,” stated PGA General Manager Brian Dahmer. “This event will serve as the kick-off for an annual open championship on our links-style course, one that will truly test-the-talent of any competitive player.”
The Olive City Open (named in reference to the Sevillano Olive common to the region) is hosted by Rolling Hills Casino, a premier gaming establishment, conveniently located next to the well-manicured Sevillano Links golf course.
The tournament is open to players 18 years of age and older. The entry fee for an amateur player is $225.00 and $380.00 for professional players. Tee times are slated to commence at 9:00 a.m. both days. Practice rounds will be available Wednesday, September 16th after 12:00 p.m. Sevillano Links also boasts one of the best range & practice centers in the entire North State.
