Market Leader’s Stylish Golf Bags Highlighted on LPGA Tour
(Haddonfield, NJ) – Trend-setting golf bag and accessories designer Keri Murschell and her company, keri golf, announce that staff player Christina Kim tied for third place at the RICOH Women’s British Open this past weekend while using one of their custom tour bags.
The 25-year-old Kim shot 73-71-71-74 to card a four-round total of 289 and claim her second top-10 finish of the season. She is currently ranked No. 42 on the LPGA Tour official money list.
“I just went out there and tried to stay patient,” says Kim. “I want to be patient now, and so just taking it one shot at a time and thoroughly just relishing in – it’s such a different type of golf here. It’s been such a phenomenal week in so many ways.”
“Christina is one of the game’s best young players, and we’re very happy to continue to celebrate her success with her,” says Murschell, company founder and principal designer. “As she egged on the crowd for the leader Sunday on the 18th, it was a testament to her class and style as a player. Christina is a great role model for younger golfers around the world, and her colorful sense of style and enthusiastic attitude are a perfect fit for keri golf, making her a wonderful brand ambassador.”
Known for her distinctive flair and passion for the game, Kim’s latest special edition tour bag from keri golf is made of high-grade leathers with a metallic finish. Its pink body is trimmed in silver, and Kim’s fun-loving personality is evident in the multi-color popsicles and ice cream cones embroidered on the front and side panels.
“The first time I saw a keri golf bag I just had to have it,” says Kim. “The style, colors and quality are way better than any other brand and it even has a special pocket for my cell phone.”
Other highlights of Kim’s 2009 season include a seventh place finish at the Kraft Nabisco Championship, and being named to her second U.S. Solheim Cup Team. In 2008, she carded three top-10 finishes, including a tie for second at the Michelob Ultra Open. Following wins at the 2004 Longs Drugs Challenge and the 2005 Mitchell Company Tournament of Champions, Kim became the youngest player in LPGA Tour history to top $1 million in career earnings.
Influenced by modern American style, keri golf’s 2009 matty collection combines a chic color palette of red, black and white with exaggerated prints in the line’s cart and stand bags, travel covers, head covers, totes and overnight bags.
Retailing from $85 to $375, keri golf’s high-end, fashionable women’s bags and accessories are exclusively made with premium fabrics that bring personality to the course. The line’s sleek, modern looks are created through unmatched craftsmanship using durable water-, stain- and piling-resistant materials.
