Sumter, SC – Golf Professional Glen Coombe, “The Putting Doctor” will hold his next putting clinic at Catawba Country Club located in Newton, NC on Friday August 14th. The host for this clinic is PGA Golf Professional Ted Brewer.
The Money Back Guarantee Putting Experience© is Glen’s unique putting clinic where Catawba Country Club members and their guests will learn putting techniques guaranteed to make them significantly improved putters, or their money back.
Coombe copyrighted his Money Back Guarantee Putting Lesson© (MBGPL) in 1993 and it is reported that golfers who employ his program reduce their handicaps by an average of four strokes.
Coombe says, “Since 1993 I’m ten foot tall and bullet proof, as no one has pulled the trigger on the money back guarantee. Why? Because my simple methods work for golfers of all levels.”
Ted Brewer, PGA will become certified to teach under the MBGPL© banner following the clinic. Jason Akel, assistant professional at Catawba said, “Glen has helped me with my putting in the past and I’m sure our members will be very happy with his clinic. His methods are indeed simple and his concepts are easy to grasp. My putting turned around after just a short session with him.” Space will be limited and participants may pre-pay to assure a spot. Call the Catawba golf shop at 828-294-3737 for further information or come by the golf shop to reserve your spot.
The MBGPE© clinic will follow a morning RIFE Putters demo where participants may have their stroke analyzed on the SAM PuttLab, and may have a RIFE Putter custom fit by Glen Coombe. Appointments are suggested for SAM participants.
Coombe said, “Sound putting technique is the key to success in reducing handicaps, enhancing the game and to increasing lesson revenue. The Sam PuttLab which I use in my instruction, RIFE Putter demo days and my work with tour professionals, allows me to help golfers reach much higher levels of understanding with regard to their putting stroke.

About RIFE Putters
All of RIFE’s Putters, including the new Two Bar Hybrid, are high-end CNC milled putters that offer the same patented RollGrooveTM Technology and patent pending Lie-Aline System.
RIFE Putters, LLC is the true innovator behind horizontal grooved face putter technology with a patent on specifically sized grooves since 1997. These precisely spaced grooves allow the putter to gently press into the cover of the ball and grip and lift it into an instant forward roll. Guerin Rife states, “just as grooves in irons help control spin so do grooves in a putter face.” Other companies are now trying to imitate this patented technology but the spacing of the grooves is the true key to the gripping and lifting effect of grooved face putter technology. Horizontal RollGrooveTM faced putters create the truest “no skid” roll in golf no matter where you hit the ball on the putter face.

About Catawba Country Club
With all the long golf courses measuring over 7000 yards from the back tees, Catawba would seem to be an easy golf course. Don’t forget, Donald Ross designed this “hidden gem”. What appears to be an easy course by measurements will, as they say, “eat you for lunch.” Like any course, Catawba rewards you for good shots, but the penalties for bad shots can be very costly. Many players have challenged her, thinking they were going to shoot a low number and left scratching their head. It’s one of the most enjoyable courses that you will ever play. Don’t take any shots for granted. There are numerous birdie opportunities that can change to bogies with one small mistake. Greens missed in the right place can still offer par but in the wrong place, your score may jump up a few numbers. Once you are on the green, the game has just begun. When the greens are fast, you better be able to make 5 foot putts. If the greens are slow, the course becomes more manageable. The greens are smooth and reward good putts, but read them from the hole to the ball. It’s the last part of the break that makes the biggest difference.
