August 10, 2009 (Oakbrook Terrace, IL) Excel Golf Products, Inc. has had a world of success with Zero Friction Performance Tees. Zero Friction has also made its mark in the golf ball market with the ZF ‘Distance 312’ golf ball which was released in January. In fact, the company is proud to announce the first recorded hole-in-one with its new and innovative ball.
Chicago resident John Santoro aced the 190 yard, 17th hole at Oak Park Country Club in River Grove, IL on August 6th. Santoro, a 5 handicap, used a 4-iron to accomplish the feat and teed up with a 1 ¾ hybrid Zero Friction Tee.
“I’ve been using the ZF ‘Distance 312’ since they came out. They are by far the longest ball I’ve ever hit and they perform as well as anything on the market,” said Santoro. “It’s a great feeling and I hope it’s one of many more.”
As an added bonus, each sleeve of Zero Friction ‘Distance 312’ golf balls includes 3 Zero Friction Performance Tees in sizes of 1 ¾, 2 ¾, and 3 ¼. In total, each dozen pack is complimented by a dozen tees. The Zero Friction Performance Golf Tee has a unique three-pronged design that significantly reduces the contact area between the ball and tee at impact. The tees have also accounted for over 50 professional victories and more than 300 top-ten finishes.
Zero Friction ‘Distance 312’ golf balls can be found at Golfsmith and other golf retailers.
