August 11, 2009 (Oakbrook Terrace, IL) Zero Friction staff players posted top finishes in two events this past week. With a top-5 finish and a pair of top-25 finishes, Zero Friction Tees continue to solidify their status of being the No. 1 Performance Tee on the PGA Tour™.
Ryan Palmer posted his best finish so far in 2009 with a tie for 5th at the Legends Reno-Tahoe Open. Palmer finished at -12 after shooting rounds of 69, 68, 66, and 73. Palmer led the field in birdies with 23 and averaged 318.8 yards per drive for the tournament. It is his 14th career top-10 finish.
Also playing at the Legends Reno-Tahoe Open was Zero Friction staff player Mark Wilson. Wilson finished tied for 22nd after posting rounds of 71, 70, 68, and 72 to finish -7. Wilson averaged 314.8 yards per drive and was 19th in the field for putts per green in regulation. It is Wilson’s 8th top-25 of 2009 and puts him at No. 78 in the Official World Golf Rankings.
Kenny Perry played in the WGC Bridgestone Invitational this past week. Perry tied for 11th at the event which was held at Firestone Country Club in Akron, OH. Perry shot rounds of 69, 71, 66, 71 (-3). He also averaged an astounding 329.9 yards per drive which was 4th in the field, and hit 57.1% of fairways in regulation. It is Perry’s 7th top-10 finish in 2009 and the 102nd of his career. Perry has also won twice on tour this year at the FBR Open and Travelers Championship.
