DFW Senior Tour sends five to U.S. finals

Bill Nitcholas of Carrollton, TX posted a 78 at a qualifying event at the Woodbridge Golf Club in Wylie for a net 68 to earn a spot in the U.S. finals of the World Golfers Championship, scheduled Sept. 12-13 at the Mission Inn Resort and Club in Howey-in-the-Hills, FL.

Also advancing to the U.S. finals were Ray Mullins of DeSoto with an 85 for a 73, Brian Ellman of Carrollton with a 94 for a 73 and John Neal of Dallas with a 106 for an 88.

The 18-hole qualifier was held in conjunction with a DFW Senior Tour event

Winners in five handicap categories (0-5, 6-10, 11-15, 16-20 and 21-25) at Mission Inn will earn spots in the World Golfers Championship Oct. 24-31 in Marbella, Spain.
