CASTLE ROCK, Colo. (August 18, 2009) — Golf Convergence, Inc., the golf industry leader in creative strategy, has added another successful corporate transaction to its profile by orchestrating the Golf 21st Century, LLC, acquisition and licensing of EZLinks Golf, Inc.’s USGA™ compliant handicap software.
Golf Convergence conceived the transition involving two of the major vendors of handicap software, which perfectly complements Golf 21st Century’s rapidly growing golf software product line. The assets of EZLinks included long-term contracts with five state golf associations for which Golf 21st Century will operate tournament scoring and USGA handicap software. EZLinks’ software is used by more than 300,000 golfers
Golf 21st Century is primarily owned by Jim Stracka. Stracka also owns The Stracka Design Company which operates Stracka.com, GolfQ.com, StrackaLine.com and GolfNet, which provides tee sheet management, tournament scoring and USGA handicap software that is used by more than 1,000,000 golfers. Stracka Design’s emerging presence in the golf industry was noted by Stracka’s creation of a Golf Caucus in the U.S. House of Representatives on July 21, 2009 lead by Representatives Heath Schuler and Joe Baca.
Founded in 1995, EZLinks Golf, Inc. operates the world’s largest network for golf reservations, as well as the highest volume 24x7x365 tee time reservation center in the industry. EZLinks provides tee sheet management software, 24-hour live-operator reservation services, integrated point-of-sale software, customizable Web booking tools, lottery, and email marketing services to more than 1,800 golf facilities, hotels, and travel companies worldwide.
“Enabling both companies to leverage their respective strengths in this golf consumer technology transaction was ideal,” said James J. Keegan, managing principal of Golf Convergence. “There is dynamic leadership in place, so our focus was to maximize Golf 21st Century and EZLinks’ strengths and leverage their impressive backgrounds in technology to ensure growth in their respective core markets.”
Golf Convergence has been highly successful with its exclusive WIN™ formula. The eight-step process maximizes revenue, increases operational efficiency and enhances customer service. Its strategic applications are valid throughout the golf industry, from course management to corporate transactions.
