McHenry, Illinois (August 24, 2009) – The Putting Game has announced its plans to attend next week’s 26th annual PGA TOUR World Amateur Handicap Championship in Myrtle Beach. Participants will be able to try out this exciting new product which allows golfers to have fun while their putting stroke improves.
“This is our first year exhibiting at the World Am. Just as we did at the PGA Merchandise Show, we will create fun and excitement for everyone while simultaneously introducing The Putting Game to as many players as possible,” said Fred Knecht, Director of Sales & Marketing.
The World Am, which will be held August 31 through September 4, is the world’s largest single-site amateur golf tournament, attracting 3,600 golfers from 45 states and more than 20 foreign countries.
The event’s pulse is its nightly party, affectionately known as the “World’s Largest 19th Hole.” The 19th Hole, which covers the entire Myrtle Beach Convention Center, is catered nightly by Myrtle Beach’s best restaurants, provides free drinks and live entertainment.
The centerpiece of the “19th Hole” is the PGA TOUR “SUPERSTORE,” a 100,000-square-foot golfer’s paradise.
“Golfers will have a chance to show off their putting skills playing The Putting Game and competing to win some great prizes,” said Knecht.
Offering numerous games and putting challenges, The Putting Game debuted at the PGA Merchandise Show in January 2009 with rave reviews. The training aid is different than others because it uses a “virtual cup” (not a physical cup) and is “Stimp aware” to provide feedback on putt distance.
