Golf Digest Names Five Jemsek Golf Teaching Professionals To Best In State List

LEMONT, Ill., August 25, 2009 -Jemsek Golf is pleased to announce that five of its teaching professionals made Golf Digest’s Best Teachers In Your State list for Illinois.

Cog Hill Golf & Country Club had four teachers make the Best Teachers In Your State list. No. 1 on the list is Jim Suttie who has a long career of teaching accolades. He is currently on Golf Magazine’s prestigious Top 100 Teachers list and is No. 15 on Golf Digest’s America’s Greatest 50 Teachers list. Kevin Week is ranked No. 3 on Golf Digest’s Best Teachers In Your State list. He is a three-time Illinois PGA Teacher of Year (2005, 2007, 2009). PGA professional Louise Davis is ranked No. 4 in the state followed by Chris Poolitsan at No. 7. Pine Meadow’s Earl Pucket, a Master Club Fitter and teacher for 32 years is No. 15 on the list.

Since its inception in 2000, Golf Digest has used peer voting on the state and national level to build the Best Teachers list. This year’s list was selected by the nearly 1,000 teachers from all 50 states who filled out an online ballot, ranking their peers on a grade-point scale from 1 to 10. There are more than 28,000 golf professionals in the United States who were eligible for consideration.
