August 27, 2009 (Oakbrook Terrace, IL) Excel Golf Products, Inc., maker of Zero Friction Performance Tees, the No. 1 Performance Tee on the PGA Tour ™, is proud to announce that staff player Kenny Perry will be a member of the 2009 United States Presidents Cup Team.
The event, which is being held October 6-11 at Harding Park Golf Course in San Francisco, CA, will be Perry’s fourth appearance in a Presidents Cup. He has been a part of the 1996, 2003, and 2005 teams which have all either won or tied with their International counterparts. This year’s U.S. Team will be captained by Fred Couples while the International Team will have Greg Norman as their captain.
Perry’s stellar play throughout the 2009 season cleared his way to the Presidents Cup squad. For the regular season, Perry posted a pair of wins at the FBR Open and Travelers Championship. He made the cut in all 20 events he played in and placed second in the Masters. He ranks 4th in total driving on tour and has averaged 294.1 yards per drive in 2009.
