ALPHARETTA, Ga. – Acculength Golf, LLC, an acclaimed leader in junior golf, and an award-winning manufacturer of expandable clubs for children, today announced plans to welcome junior golfers representing the First Tee of Southern Nevada (TFTSN) during this year’s PGA Fall Expo on Sept. 1, 2009, at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino Convention Center in Las Vegas. Acculength Golf will host an afternoon of product-testing, golf instruction and fun activities with its innovative clubs and TFTSN kids ages 6-12 in booth ETC5 from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
The event also will include the latest in golf simulator technology, allowing TFTSN kids to experience the high-performance lineup of expandable Acculength golf clubs in a fun, educational and scientific indoor environment.
“Everyone at Acculength, a company with its roots in junior golf, is thrilled to welcome young golfers from such a respected organization as The First Tee, and we are honored to roll out the red carpet for its Southern Nevada chapter,” said Acculength CEO Shawn Benson, the company’s original founder and inventor. “Given the unique nature of our innovative products and their ability to help ‘grow’ the game of golf, we couldn’t be more proud to engage with The First Tee of Southern Nevada whose longstanding dedication to the growth of young people through golf is truly inspiring.”
The First Tee of Southern Nevada, which celebrated its fifth anniversary as a chapter of The First Tee in 2007, was established through the merger of the Southern Nevada Junior Golf Association and the Southern Nevada Inner City Youth Golf Association. More than 7,000 kids ages 6 – 17 throughout Southern Nevada are encouraged to participate in development clinics, educational seminars, tournaments and special events throughout the year. Applying the same mission statement of The First Tee on a local level, the Southern Nevada’s unique curriculum has a strong life skills component that includes community service and mentoring opportunities.
