Hedblom Fires Final-round 67 to Claim Johnnie Walker Championship; Roberts’ Birdie-Birdie Finish Clinches Boeing Classic

Carlsbad, Calif. (August 31, 2009) – TaylorMade Tour Staff professionals Peter Hedblom and Loren Roberts earned victories on the European and Champions tours in a weekend that featured worldwide success for TaylorMade.

Hedblom, playing an R9 460 9.5° driver, shot a dramatic final-round 67 to outlast the field at the Johnnie Walker Championships by a stroke. In addition to being equipped with adidas Golf TOUR360 3.0 footwear, Hedblom was a strong representative of a field in which TaylorMade ranked as No. 1 driver and No. 1 iron models. The win at Gleneagles marked Hedblom’s third career title on the European Tour.

Roberts, meanwhile, powered home with a birdie-birdie finish at the Champions Tour Boeing Classic to card a final-round 65 and win for the third time this season. The victory moved Roberts within 100 points of Charles Schwab Cup leader and fellow TaylorMade Tour Staff professional Fred Funk. Roberts’ 72-hole score of 18-under par set a new tournament record and capped a special summer highlighted by his victory at the Senior Open Championship in July.
