The Putting Arc congratulates Heath Slocum on his win at the Barclays, and his large jump from 124 to 3 in the FedExCup standings. Heath has been a long-time student of Golf Digest Top 20 Under 40 instructor Mark Blackburn.
Congratulations also to Englishman Gary Christian on his nine hole playoff victory at the Nationwide Tour’s Northeast Pennsylvania Classic, his first tour win. Gary has been working with Putting Arc Tour Rep Ken McDonald as his short game instructor for several years. He played the entire 27 holes on Sunday with the same golf ball, and hit all nine fairways and all nine greens in the 2 1/2 hour long playoff. Gary is 38 years old and played college golf at Auburn. He has a wife and an 18 month old baby girl and now has a realistic shot at the PGA Tour next year.
The Putting Arc will be running a series of ads on Tee It Up Radio for the next three weeks, during the FedExCup Playoffs. These ads will feature Ken McDonald, and can be heard from 9 to 11 AM, EDT (6 to 8 PDT). A list of the nationwide affiliate stations who carry this show is attached, and you should check your local listings for the exact time in your area. Tee It Up Radio is also sponsoring a celebrity golf tournament at Valencia Country Club in October for the benefit of the Wounded Warrior Project and more information about this tournament can be found at their website, www.teeitupshow.com.
