September 4, 2009 (Oakbrook Terrace, IL) Excel Golf Products, Inc., maker of Zero Friction Performance Tees, the No. 1 Performance Tee on the PGA Tour ™, has a pair of staff players in the hunt for the FedEx Cup. Kenny Perry and Mark Wilson tee it up this week at the Deutsche Bank Championship. The event, which is being held at TPC Boston, is the second round of the FedEx Cup Playoffs which features the top 100 players in point standings.
Perry is currently 5th in FedEx Cup standings as well as in the Official World Golf Ranking. He has made the cut in all 21 tournaments he has played in this season and has been a front-runner for the FedEx Cup since the beginning of 2009. Perry scored a pair of victories during the regular season at the FBR Open and the Travelers Championship. He also added 7 top-ten finishes to yet another remarkable season on the PGA Tour. After the Playoffs conclude Perry will be playing in the Presidents Cup as a member of U.S. Team which is being captained by Fred Couples.
Mark Wilson, currently 47th in FedEx Cup standings, will also be playing at the Deutsche Bank Championship this week. After posting 8 top-25 finishes in the regular season, Wilson also managed to pick-up his second career victory at the Mayakoba Golf Classic. He ranks near the top in driving accuracy and sand saves on the PGA Tour.
