(September 3, 2009 -Coral Springs, FL ) – Caddy For A Cure will be holding its 3rd Annual Fundraiser Golf Tournament on Monday, October 12th, 2009 at the beautiful TPC Eagle Trace golf course in Coral Springs, FL. The prestigious golf course was former site of the PGA TOUR Honda Classic and appeals to golfers of all abilities. The event will begin with a pre-golf lunch followed by a performance by world-renowned trick-shot artist, Peter Johncke. The traditional 18-hole round of shambles format golf will be complemented by many on-course activities, give-aways and entertainment, including a bagpipe performance from the Ft. Lauderdale Police Department. On-course food samplings will be provided by event sponsors Abe & Louie’s, Bru’s and Whole Foods Market of Coral Springs. Special guests will include wounded warrior and double amputee Dan Nevins, as well as the National Fanconi Anemia Spokesperson for Caddy For A Cure and FA patient, Christian Collins.

The Caddy For A Cure program is a non-profit organization that offers the public the unique opportunity to go inside the ropes and caddy for the world’s best players at PGA TOUR venues while raising funds for charity. In addition to supporting Fanconi Anemia and the Wounded Warrior Project, Caddy For A Cure supports many community and national charities around the world. Participation in the Caddy For A Cure program is fully tax deductible as allowed by law.

“We are pleased to be able to host this event at our facility for such a worthy cause,” commented Bryan Stone, TPC Eagle Trace Head Golf Professional. He continued, “When we learned about Caddy For A Cure and how they are using the sport of golf to help change lives, we were honored to be involved. We have a beautiful facility and golf course that we’re sure many people will enjoy visiting and are looking forward to the event.”

“We believe our events are unlike other traditional fundraising golf events because we take all of our experience from PGA TOUR tournaments and roll it into our annual event. Not only do we run a professional quality event, but what really sets up apart is we have many one-of-a-kind items available in our auctions that come directly from the world’s best players and PGA TOUR equipment manufacturers. This year we have items personally autographed from Tiger Woods, Padraig Harrington, Sergio Garcia, Stewart Cink, Angel Cabrera, Lucas Glover, Camilo Villegas, Jim Furyk, Y.E. Yang, Ian Poulter and many other PGA TOUR superstars.

The golf will be followed by cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and dinner, as well as prize awards and a live auction to take place in the main dining room and adjacent patio at TPC Eagle Trace. The price for single guests is $225. Attendance is limited to the first 120 players. Event sponsorships are available beginning at $250 and up.
