BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, Wash. (September 8, 2009) – Just Fore You™, maker of designer-fashioned, elegant golf-inspired jewelry, helped sponsor a raffle held Sept. 1 at the PGA Fall Expo in Las Vegas supporting the Folds of Honor Foundation and Patriot Golf Day. Just Fore You donated a Tee and Ball Bangle™ bracelet to the raffle, of which all proceeds benefited the initiatives. Lucia Olson, CEO/Designer of Just Fore You, personally presented the bracelet at the raffle.
“It is a pleasure and a privilege to help support Folds of Honor and Patriot Golf Day,” Olson says. “We join many others across the industry in helping fund the Folds of Honor scholarships.”
Just Fore You made its official début at the PGA Fall Expo. The hand-designed pieces, including necklaces, rings and bracelets, were on display, with a number of gem choices available for various designs. In addition to complementing players’ golf ensembles, the stylish pieces make great tee and tournament prizes and holiday gifts, and add panache to any golf shop inventory. Fashion-conscious players enjoy wearing Just Fore You jewelry both on and off the golf course.
“As Just Fore You is a brand-new company, we especially appreciate its generous support of Folds of Honor,” says Major Ed Pulido, U.S. Army (Ret.), executive director of the Folds of Honor Foundation. “All funds raised will be dedicated to creating scholarships for worthy spouses and children of soldiers killed or wounded while serving our country.”
Just Fore You (www.justforeyou.com) is the new golf division of Olson’s original jewelry company, Designed by Lucia™ (www.designedbylucia.com). Olson is the sole designer of each piece in all the collections. An award-winning jewelry maker and artist, Olson integrates golf themes and representative golf items in her Just Fore You lines. Made from the finest materials and semi-precious gemstones, each piece, distinctive and sophisticated, can be customized with the selection of gemstones and metal, including sterling silver, gold or platinum.
The “Fairway Pendant™”, Just Fore You’s signature design, consists of a cabochon malachite set in sterling silver with a white sapphire ‘golf ball’, accompanied by a 16″ sterling-silver chain. Shapes vary on each unique piece. The sterling-silver “Tee & Ball Ring™” features white sapphires on one side and a choice of gemstone on the other; the “Tee & Ball Bangle™” bracelet is designed along the same lines. The “Golf Cuff” is a striking cuff-style sterling-silver bracelet fashioned from overlapping layers forming ‘golf balls’, with a choice of white, pink or green sapphires.
Just Fore You jewelry is available in select golf shops and resorts across the U.S. and on the company Web site, www.justforeyou.com.
About Folds of Honor & Patriot Golf Day
The Folds of Honor Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization with a mission to empower deserving military families with educational support and opportunities. Folds of Honor provides post-secondary educational scholarships to the spouses and children of service members disabled or killed as a result of their military service to our great nation. The Folds of Honor Foundation was founded in 2007 by Major Dan Rooney, an F-16 pilot, golf course owner, PGA Professional and USGA member. A Major in the Air National Guard and a decorated military aviator, Rooney has served three combat tours in Iraq.
The Folds of Honor Foundation’s primary fundraiser is Patriot Golf Day, the largest grassroots golf platform in the country. With the support of the PGA of America and the USGA, Patriot Golf Day generated over $3 million from more than 3,700 golf courses in just its first two years. Major Dan Rooney started Patriot Golf Day in 2007 by asking golfers to add $1 to their green fees in support of the Folds of Honor Foundation. Since then, the concept has grown to include a number of supporters and fundraising efforts. Patriot Golf Day was held again this year during Labor Day weekend, Sept. 4-7.
