“The Hottest Shafts In Golf” stays red-hot winning wood, hybrid shaft counts at BMW Championship
POWAY, Calif. – Using Aldila’s RIP shaft technology in his driver, the winner of the Utah Championship out drove the field with an average of 322.6 yards to capture his first career victory on the Nationwide Tour. Playing in just his fourth tournament since switching to the RIP, he drove the ball an average of 314 yards in the first round, 329.5 in the second round, 322 in the third and 325 yards in the fourth. Since switching to the RIP, he has placed first, second and 14th.
With the victory in Utah, he moved to eighth place on the money list with $238,200 and is almost certain to finish as one of the Top 25 leading money-winners who are awarded PGA Tour cards following the Nationwide Tour Championship in October.
“RIP is Aldila’s new shaft technology that provides a lower torque, increased tip stability and better tip stiffness control,” said Stewart Bahl, Aldila’s Marketing Manager. “The RIP is currently undergoing testing on the PGA Tour and is scheduled to be launched next year through some of the major OEM’s product lines.”
“The Hottest Shafts In Golf” scorched the competition on the PGA Tour at the BMW Championship claiming their seventh consecutive wood and hybrid shaft manufacturer count wins at a FedEx Cup Playoff events dating back to 2008, according to the Darrell Survey. Aldila dominated the hybrid shaft count winning by a 2 to 1 margin over the next leading shaft manufacturer.
In addition to winning the counts at the FedEx Cup Playoff events, Aldila was also the most popular shaft manufacturer for woods and hybrid shafts at The Masters, the U.S. Open, the British Open Championship, and the PGA Championship in 2009 according to the Darrell Survey. Players using Aldila shafts won the Masters and the PGA Championship.
Led by their number one shaft the VooDoo®, Aldila also claimed the wood and hybrid shaft counts on the Nationwide Tournament to remain the #1 shaft on Tour. “The Hottest Shafts In Golf” won the hybrid count by nearly a 2 to 1 margin over the next leading competitor, according to the Darrell Survey.
What sets the VooDoo apart from the others is its patent-pending S-core (stabilized core) Technology™ designed to maximize energy transfer to the golf ball, yielding unparalleled distance and accuracy with each swing. The VooDoo’s real “magic” is the high modulus carbon stabilization rib running the length of the shaft. The innovative rib structure increases hoop strength/stiffness so much that it’s 80 percent greater than conventional graphite, and up to 60 percent greater than competitors’ attempts at cross sectional stabilization. The VooDoo simply helps generate consistently straight and long shots – with feel competitor shafts can’t match.
Aldila catapults power to an unprecedented level. High performance technology harnessed and perfected from a special blend of materials, design and expertise. Pushing success to the edge and redefining how power should feel. Are you playing Aldila or just graphite?
