One of Shaft Skinz’ longest standing and most ardent fans has won for the third time on the LPGA this year.
The young Korean LPGA ‘rookie’ claimed her third victory of the year at the P&G Beauty NW Arkansas Championship from about as far back as it seems possible, having started in the third group on the tee on Sunday. Her bogey-free round of 64 catapulted her up the leaderboard to a position that was good enough to still tie for first place some two and a half hours after she finished.
Victory came by way of a 2 hole, sudden death playoff against Angela Stanford and Sun Young Yoo.
This victory equals her LPGA win tally from last year when she stormed onto the scene on the back half of the season before she was even a registered member of the tour.
The leader of the Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year standings has been playing Shaft Skinz since just before the Women’s British Open last year which, incidentally, she went on to win aged just 19.
Her astonishing results have continued to roll in and the diminutive golfing sensation has racked up almost $1.5 million in earnings this season. Such consistent performances sees her not only top the Rookie of the Year list but the Rolex Player of the year table and the Official Money List too.
Such a quiet character might seem an unusual supporter of Shaft Skinz’ decorative shaft protectors but it seems the current world number 2 is more than happy to let her clubs do the talking.
All the tour players who have decided to ‘Play with color™’ can be seen on the company web site.
