“The Hottest Shafts In Golf” played by 7 of Top 10 finishers at Albertsons Boise Open
POWAY, Calif. – Battling through the windy conditions, the winner of the Albertsons Boise Open in Idaho relied on the “magic” of Aldila’s VooDoo® shaft in his driver to help capture his third Tour victory at the Hillcrest Country Club. Trusting the outstanding accuracy, stability and increased distance of the VooDoo’s patent pending S-core Technology™, he finished the tournament tied for 9th in Driving Accuracy.
His winning check for $130,500 put him over the $1 million mark for career Tour earnings and catapulted him from 94th to 18th on the Top 25 Money List for 2009. At the end of the 2009 Nationwide Tour season, players inside the Top 25 on the Money List earn PGA Tour cards for the 2010 season.
With the help of 27 VooDoos in play at the Albertsons Boise Open, “The Hottest Shafts In Golf” maintained their status as the #1 shaft on Tour by winning the wood shaft manufacturer count, according to the Darrell Survey. Aldila was also the clear choice for hybrid shafts as they won that shaft count by more than a 2 to 1 margin over the next leading competitor. In fact, seven of the Top 10 finishers on the Nationwide Tour, including the top three, played Aldila shafts.
“What sets the VooDoo apart is its patent-pending stabilized core technology designed to yield unparalleled distance and accuracy with each swing,” said Stewart Bahl, Aldila’s Marketing Manager. “The real ‘magic’ is the high modulus carbon stabilization rib running the length of the shaft. The innovative rib structure increases hoop strength/stiffness so much that it’s 80 percent greater than conventional graphite, and up to 60 percent greater than competitors’ attempts at cross sectional stabilization. The rib structure keeps the shaft more concentric, preventing shaft ovaling, deformation and wasted energy during the golf swing. It simply helps generate consistently straight and long shots – with feel competitor shafts can’t match.”
Aldila has the unique ability to define the intangibles of the game of golf. To translate numbers into theory, theory into practice, and practice into perfection. They do the experimenting so you don’t have to. Pushing success to the edge and redefining how power should feel. Are you playing Aldila, or just graphite?
